Book Compiling, datasheet in excel, result in formated pdf for printing

Hi Everyone, Once again I'm doing a new book release for our product, I need someone who knows how to use well how to use automated processes to create a product catalogue. Like for example Indesign's XML import into preset format. No matter how you get it done I only need the result correct but please don't try to use excel to format and then print to pdf as we had experience before the result was not so good.
