Hello, I studied the sample file and the documentation for the RIS format. It looks like a straightforward data format so converting it to JSON should not be a problem. I noticed there are a few RIS parsers for Python that can also be used if needed. Regarding the elasticsearch import one can use the elasticsearch Python API or construct the requests using libraries like urllib2, python-requests etc. If you want me to I can quickly write a Python project to process the sample file you provided and convert it to JSON. Afterwards if you are happy with the results we can continue collaborating on this project.
