Generally: the Flex client has to display data that are pushed and pulled from a Coldfusion server so it has tree methods to be implemented: 1. the Flex client connects automatically to a socket server © over this channel he gets some simple live-ticker data, that has to be displayed 2. the Flex client gets over this channel also commands to pull over http structured data and an image. The structured data has to be interpreted and displayed. 3. users of this Flex client would have the possibility to request data from a SQL table; for this the Flex client will ask again over http the Coldfusion server the client should use as less as possible communications resources and as lass as possible memory on the execution client machine.
