We are developing an embedded software system that will run on windows xp embedded on an intel atom CPU using the US15W intel chipset (AKA poulsbo). This chipset supports a usb client port. We want to be able to designate a directory or partition or drive on the SSD of our device and "share" this directory as a mass storage device with a USB host via the USB client port. In other words, we want our device to act as a mass storage device when connected via the USB client port to another computer. This also means that the device needs some way to safely read and write to the shared directory while our device is connected. The standard driver software that intel provides does not include this functionality (only supports network over USB functionality which is NOT what we want). There is a linux driver for USB client on US15W available that could be used for "inspiration". The given approximate budget is just that, an approximate buget. Final budget is TBD. We are looking for contractors that have experience in the development of embedded software, windows drivers and USB connectivity.
