I have two simple php scripts that are currently run within a wordpress framework. One script is a simple flatfile search routine and the other is a sliding image gallery script that simply scans the contents of a folder and presents the images via a sliding galley. Both scripts are very basic and do not use mySQL. The data is in a flatfile table with about 71,600 records. The records are divided into about 400 categories (178 records per category) which are specified by unique number for each category. My website is a single PHP file that fetches images from a folder, displays the images, the filename as a title, and the description metadata as a caption. It all has pagination and uses Infinite AJAX Scrolling to navigate across the images. Because there is reflow, I hide the items with a div that fades out when the content is ready. The couple of small problems I need to fix are: 1. When I use special characters in the filename, the link to the image breaks and it doesn't show up. I need to be able to use special characters in titles. 2. The preloading effect only fires with the first image loaded in the first page, but I need to apply it to every item in the array individually and load automatically when new items show up in the body tag.
