We are the developers of Zorin OS (), an Ubuntu-based distribution aimed at newcomers to Linux that is currently ranked as the number 9 distro on DistroWatch (). On the desktop-side we are using the AWN panel with the AWN Indicator3 Applet to display the system (Ayatana) indicators as per this screenshot from Zorin OS 8 (the latest version of Zorin OS, based on Ubuntu 13.10): We are currently developing Zorin OS 9 based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Unfortunately the Indicator3 Applet in AWN is no longer compatible with the latest version of the Ayatana indicators included in Ubuntu 14.04.
