Contest Brief

I'm on the lookout for a skilled designer who can transform my basic Sketchup layout into a kitchen design. My vision is already anchored on certain materials and colors, hence the task will majorly focus on creativity with the provided constraints.

Key Details:

- Style of kitchen: The kitchen's style should primarily center on modern design.
- Materials: The materials at your disposal include Melawood (Storm Grey or Petrol Blue or Maidenwood and Formica (Saxon Oak), with Grey tiles. Incorporate these in your design as I've made these choices already.
- Color scheme: My preferred color scheme is Grey and Natural wood tones. Capture these in the render where they make sense.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

I'm looking for someone with a proven track record in converting architectural drafts to interior designs, specifically for kitchens. Proficiency in Sketchup and an ability to imagineively use the materials and colors I've chosen is a must. Prior experience in working with Melawood and Formica will be a plus.

Your final deliverable should take my basic Sketchup layout and transform it into a modern, personalized kitchen design that is visually compelling and practical in its use. CONSIDER THAT THIS KITCHEN WILL BE USED BY AN ELDERLY PERSON.

OTHER IMPORTANT CRITERIA: MAXIMISE STORAGE, THERE WILL BE A SECOND EYE HEIGHT BUILT IN OVEN. PLEASE CHOOSE A BEST LOCATION FOR IT. WORK SURFACES MUST BE AT 90Centimeters INCLUDING AN ISLAND

    Here is a checklist:

    1.) Respect all openings, doors, windows
    2.) Respect location of plubming wall
    3.) Respect location of 90cm Ilve Majestic Stove
    4.) Render in the Formica and Melawood colours that were provided
    5.) Respect the height of the work-surfaces (this includes the kitchen basin, island, but it EXCLUDES the height of the Ilve Majestic Oven, it will stay on standard height.
    6.) A second eye height oven MUST BE INCLUDED IN the DESIGN.
    7.) There must be a breakfast table, where elderly persons can sit in the kitchen (the chairs and table must be low and suitable for an elderly person and on the window side)

    If you don't address each item on this checklist, YOUR ENTRY WILL BE REJECTED.
