About Me
I am a Geographic Information System (GIS) professional, with expertise in developing bespoke scripts, models, and applications for processing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data and remotely sensed imagery, with over eight years experience in the field. I have an enthusiasm for finding intelligent solutions to geoprocessing and spatial analysis problems, and can rapidly resolve issues with complex workflows and processing large datasets.I have an academic background in ecology and environmental science (to masters level). While I specialize in GIS, I can also lend my skills to more generic data science, web scraping, and software developments tasks: I have a strong understanding of data analysis and application development in the Python and R programming languages; database design and SQL queries; knowledge of web development using Javascript, CSS, and HTML5; and expertise in querying REST APIs (e.g. Google Maps, Yelp, Twitter).
