GIS Base Mobile Web App Development
The objectives of this study were formulated to use cluster and outlier analysis and hotspot analysis tools in GIS to identify spatial and temporal variability of paddy production in Sri Lanka over the past 10 years. It was expected to identify and visualize the factors affecting the variability of paddy production and to develop a web application to demonstrate the hidden spatial patterns and relationships for better decision making. Paddy production data from 2005 to 2015 at the spatial scale of DS Divisions was used for the study. Hotspot analysis tool was used to statistically identify the hotspots of paddy production in DS divisions in Sri Lanka and cluster analysis tool was used to statistically identify clusters in paddy production data according to the spatial and temporal variability.
