Convert/recreate old wordpress multisite to single site

This work has two phases however this job is for Phase 1 only.
Phase 1:
a) Create backup of current/existing wordpress multisite (which has only one single website assigned) but keep it active as the site is currently live
b) Install new wordpress single site in a subdirectory to our main URL
c) Import/recreate the multisite website to the new single site in the subdirectory
The goal is to have two identical sites up and running so that I will be in a position to decommission the existing multisite version.
Phase 2 will be an additional freelancer project (not part of this scope):
a) install a new theme on the new wordpress single installation which has imported content
b) rebuild/configure and test the website content once the new theme is installed (whilst preserving the google analytics and adword conversion tracking setup)
