Summary: We need a simple web interface built in any language, for our R and Python-based forecasting engine. (The forecasting engine is already complete, we want it coupled with a Web based UI for ease of access by clients.) Details: This User Interface will be protected, accessible only via user name (email address) and password protected. The UI will allow the user to upload files containing data sets they wish to forecast. The User Interface will pass the data sets on to the forecasting engine, which runs on Linux, and kicks off a forecasting job. When the forecast is done, the UI should automatically email the user a pdf of the forecast. If there is an error during the forecasting run (user file not in correct format, missing or invalid data, etc.) the UI needs to relay that back to the user. The user will not interact with the forecasting engine directly, but only through the UI, and the UI does not need to know anything about the internals of the engine – only how to communicate with it (e.g., it will be a “Black Box”.) Specifications on how to communicate with the engine and how to put it through its paces, and how to retrieve the forecasts it produces will be provided upon hire. The UI can be written in any language and should run on either Linux or Windows.
