Dear all,
I need a vba run excel file manager to be drafted with following functionality:
1/ list file names from the selected folder + subfolders
2/ list location of the file
3/ hyperlink to the file
4/ once list is generated, ability to change file names in the list that would automatically change names in selected folder and subfolders. So basically I am doing a sanity check of the files, when I spot an error in the naming convention I want to be able to change the name in the list (next column for example) and after clicking a button name of the file is changed and list is refreshed and fixed name now appears in the fresh list.
I am just a beginner so up to this point I have managed to create something barely working. But my macro would only change file names within the folder, and not subfolders. Since I am not able to spend more time learning to do it, I need help.
Further functionality required:
1/ button to extract data to excel and pdf format
2/ in macro every function described in plain english with comments, so I can learn
And there might be few other small additions that I forgot.
So all in all, easy quick project
