I am creating a pool of freelancers to help my team with consulting projects. We conduct research and analysis on various biomass feedstocks, including forest residues, wood waste, food waste, agricultural residue, manure and other feedstocks.

Depending on the freelancer's experience, initial tasks will be fairly simple. They will grow in complexity as our relationship develops.
I hope to find freelancers who could eventually work for us on an ongoing basis.
I am looking for researchers at various levels of experience but with demonstrated work. That is, conducted studies, reports, data analyses etc. Samples of work will be required.
Some of the tasks assigned will include:
- Collect market and policy data through online research, including literature research.
- Synthesize and analyze market data in Excel and other relevant software.
- Develop and implement market models.
- Write reports (or singular sections).
Qualifications:
• Degree in economics, engineering, forestry, environmental sciences, journalism, English, or another relevant field.
• Excellent verbal communications.
• Excellent writing skills. Demonstrated ability to write technical reports and/or academic publications.
• Excellent data analysis skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
• Proven knowledge of research, statistics and analytical techniques and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently.
• Demonstrated interest in energy, natural resource management, and/or waste management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-starter and self-finisher with high energy level, high sense of urgency, and results oriented.
• Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) an asset.
• Systematic, process-oriented, self-disciplined, while still being able to look at the big picture. You can plan AND implement. Process-oriented and can juggle a number of tasks and workflows
