This brief is for modification to/configuration of the E-Course site.

Users will access the E-Course site from the main site.

Note to the developer:

• create the E-Course home page per the mock up below

• We will create/edit the links from the main site to the E-Course site.

When a registered user accesses the site the first page (home page) will be a simple dashboard.

The dashboard page will have a row of 3 images, one for each of the 3 courses.

Below each of the courses it will say one of three things: (wording to be locked down)

1. You are already registered. Click here to go to course.

2. Click here to register.

3. Course is not yet open for registrations. Click here for more information about the course.

I. If the user clicks that they are already registered, they will be directed to the Front page for the course selected.

II. If the user clicks to register, they will be taken to the information page for that course, which will have a “REGISTER NOW” button.

a. If the user clicks the “REGISTER NOW” and they are not already subscribed to another course, they will be taken to a page with the full “NEW REGISTRATION” form. On completion of this form they will be taken to the payment gateway.

b. If the user clicks the “REGISTER NOW” and they are already subscribed to another course, they will be taken to a page with the “LOGIN” button, which will take them to the payment gateway.

III. If the user clicks to see more information about the course, they will be taken to the information page for that course, which will have a “CLICK HERE TO BE THE FIRST TO RECEIVE AN EARLY BIRD OFFER WHEN THIS COURSE IS RELEASED” button.

Notes to the developer

Notes about MemberPress

The issues I have had in trying to get the site working have been to do with MemberPress, and how it ties back to the other bits of software.

There is a Member User Guide easily accessed and a few YouTube videos. We are not stuck on MemberPress, but based on my research and limited tech skills, I was unable to identify another option. Our main site has been using Paid Membership Pro – which won’t allow you to create segmented lists per course.

I have lost a lot of hours trying to make the MemberPress and Login side of things work. Note: I do not have the skills to work with CSS or HTML. (apart from simple edits)

Home Page Images

If possible it would be good if a plugin was identified and used for the display and function of the link-images used on the Home Page. Ideally, when the cursor is passed across an image, some effect will occur – such as it shimmers or gets slightly larger, or fades out and in, or whatever. Just something that is simple but looks cool. I would imagine such a plugin would enable Sue and I to modify which effect is applied in the future – to create some variety over time.

Further to this, some time next year we will be adding a second row of images that will be the dashboard that hyperlinks to a range of short E-Courses we will be making available. As such, it would be good if this plug-in allows for ease of editing to make that possible.

If this Image requirement is not VERY straightforward, then ignore it. We do not want it to add time or cost.

Forms

If possible it would be good if a plugin was identified and used that can make the login/registration forms look a little nicer.

Missing Pages

If a required page does not exist, create it, include header and menu, and mock text and images so we can replace the mock text and images with the required text and image. Likewise, if you identify a page we need to create content for or re-edit, please keep a note of these for us to do.
