General:
The project is to deliver an online room booking system.
***My budget is low, so I prefer someone that has done this before and has saved the code. As long as it is not copy written, I am ok with duplicate code.
I look forward to hearing fresh ideas on how we can do this in a inexpensive way. Also any thoughts on how to perhaps simply to an affiliated website with Expedia etc would also be of interest. But for now the idea is to create a stand alone website. The hotel owner would load supply of rooms by date, and by roomtype and by price. The perspective guest would choose the hotel based on this availability and pricing similar to [url removed, login to view] and/or Booking.com.
Web UI:
This system should consist of 2 separate UI components: 1 for end user and 1 for back-end administration.
The end user UI component should have the back-end logic to support both registered user and guest (non-registered user)
And the back-end administration UI should provide the necessary access to administer this website and managing each hotel/room.
Business Process:
The system will need to support a room hiring/booking process that is similar to [url removed, login to view]:
1. Prompt a searching page for end user.
2. List the matched hotel/room in a matrix.
3. End user to pay the deposit or full payment to complete the booking.
Some Technical Constraints are as followed:
It needs to be completed by using PHP and MySQL
The system needs to be developed in some form of architecture (e.g. MVC or Model2)
*There is no limitation of using any existing open source software.
