About the site and basic overview
General Practice Electronic Resources
This web site has been designed for doctors and allied health professionals. It provides links to clinical resources that these doctors (mainly general practitioners) and allied health staff use on a daily basis. Users of the webs site can submit resources to the site which are reviewed and then added to the site if accepted under the appropriate heading. They are also added to the “recently added” section at the top of the web site. Resource “links” that are visited most frequently are listed in the “most viewed” section at the top of each web site.
Design Requirements
1.) Design a website in Dreamweaver CS5.5 based on the layout provided in the attached drawings, there are six basic pages to design. The site needs to be compatible with Dreamweaver as this is the software I will be using to add new links and make small modifications to the site at a later date.
2.) Assist in graphic design of buttons and colour scheme. Colour scheme and layout should be similar to [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view] The site logo is under contract for design at the moment and will be provided shortly. Buttons on the home page should match the design logo provided ie, the specialties, general practice and allied health links on the base of the home page should match the logo design. A series of logo designs and modifications may be required to arrive at the final button layout. I have suggested some colours on the drawings provided but they are only suggestions, please change if you think a different colour would be more suitable.
3.) Links should be displayed in a similar font to below, they will be provided in a word document with the links imbedded in the text.

4) There needs to be a copyright, legal disclaimer and privacy policy link at the base of each page. They will transfer the user to separate simple pages that are not in the menu bar.
5.) When visitors to the site click on the “submit your resource” it should transfer them to the contact page.
6.) Contact page should have a dialog box for name, email and resource or comments. When a comment is submitted the information should be emailed to .
7.) The contact page should have a live feed to the facebook page and show 3 to 4 of the last posts to the site, these should up date automatically as new post are added to the facebook page [url removed, login to view]
8.) There should be a link to the face book and twitter page at the top of each web page.
9.) Finally I need someone to figure out a way of getting the statistics for how many times people are clicking on the web links that I have provided. This will include any links from the “most clicked links” and “recently added links” as well. My plan is to download the statistics on a monthly basis and update the “most popular links by hand” using dreamweaver.
