Anyone knows about website Scraping?
First of all my website is this one: [url removed, login to view] and I would like to be populating it with content from other websites using their RSS feed articles.
I have an Autoblog plugin that automatically posts to my WP website ([url removed, login to view]) content imported from RSS feeds. The widget works almost as I want to with a few exceptions:
- Some sites have in their RSS Feeds pictures on the posts and some others do not include the pictures in the RSS feed. If you go to my website, you will see that some posts have pictures and some others dont, this is the reason.
- It doesnt capture all the word content of the link. It only captures up to what is included in the RSS Feed.
- The widget, to my knowledge, only posts to the main page of my site ([url removed, login to view]) and not subpages like [url removed, login to view]
What I would like is:
1) Scrape full articles from any RSS Feed (no duplicates) and schedule posts at predefined intervals (lets say every 30min) to multiple categories (Strip out HTML tags of source content)
2) On my site, I would like to have the options of the excerpts and be able to specify how many words will appear, and when a user chooses a post, this post to show the rest of the content
