I like the overall look and feel of my current website [url removed, login to view], but need to make it easier to navigate by adding a drop down menu in the header with groups of products as well as adding a left nav with lists of all products that can be clicked. I want to add social media icons to the footer as well (I currently can't do this with current website)..
Currently my website is built using Squarespace. While it was easy to build, it is extremely restrictive and virtually impossible to change the design and add the nav features that I want. Because of these restrictions, I will need the site rebuilt in a new system. I want the site built with a WYSIWYG editor so that in the future, I can easily make changes and additions to the website without needing to access the code (like [url removed, login to view]). I want to be able to add products, change text, and update pictures as necessary.
Basically, the whole site needs to be converted over to a new CMS. I have all the pictures and content for each page in folders that I can email or upload to a dropbox. All of the product pages will be the same, so only one template will need to be created for them all.
I will also need a shopping cart for my website. I have researched carts and believe [url removed, login to view] is a good fit. I spoke to the company and they said it wouldn’t take more than 4 hours to integrate a shopping cart into the new website by simply dropping a few lines of code and then populating with products, prices, and shipping weights.
I want to use the same domain and sub domains. I have a couple other small changes I would like to have in the new website, but nothing major. We can discuss these once I decide which contractor to use.
I need someone who is capable of rebuilding my website with all the changes I have included above. Feel free to look at my current website and get feel for my content, style, and layout. The new website will be very similar, just updated.
I am open to ideas that you think will improve the website.
