A web based software solution build completely using ASP.NET. The solution is required for a services and retail group operating in a multi branch enviroment.
The solution will consist of the following main components:
**Transaction Engine** ??" Quotations, orders and invoicing.
-**Booking** ??" Calendars for individual installation bays within each branch.
-**Costing** ??" Based on availability and used in conjunction with the bookings calendar.
**-Jobs** ??" Fitment, repairs and faults management and tracking.
**Stock and Catalog Engine** ??" Inventory with Suggestive purchasing and forward ordering. Per branch and per warehouse.
**Authentication Engine** ??" Security per location, assigned at user level.
**Payment Engine** ??" Per branch accounts. Vouchers. Credit card payments via [[url removed, login to view]][1]
**Reporting Engine** ??" Extensive reporting on all of the above components. Ability to export data to Excel.
The above mentioned component will be required to operate in a multi branch, multi warehouse and multi subsidiary/supplier environment. These components will need to be exposed as XML services. Access control will be per user and must be enforced at component level. All these components will be accessible form the following interfaces:
POS interface (IE 6.0 for Windows CE)
E-commerce interface (IE 6.0)
Admin interface (IE 6.0)
An additional layer of security will be implemented at interface level. The solution will need to be scaleable and is required to work within a NLB (Clustered) environment. An effective data recovery solution will also be required, enabling point in time recovery.
**We have completed the software logic design and will provide SQL database structures and workflow diagrams. We also have a HTML illustration of the POS interface.**
## Deliverables
**Project timescales:
**The first phase of the application will require analysis of the workflow diagrams and SQL database structure provided. We will require subsequent Enterprise Architect UML diagrams for review by our technical team. (5 Days)
The second phase of the application will require a prototype with all form layout and page to page navigation. At this point, all the pages do not have to have full functionality. POS and E-commerce interface. (10 days)
Admin interface. (5 days)
The second phase must be completed by day 20 of the project.
The third phase will require the finished application with installation program for beta release to hosted environment. The developer will be responsible for fixing any issues within 16 hours. During this phase, the code will be reviewed weekly for adherence to standard coding practices. The developer will be responsible for making any code changes to meet our standards within 24 hours. When we are comfortable the application has been thoroughly tested and is ready for widespread use and all related files are received, we will then disburse the payment. (15 days) The third phase must be completed by day 35 of the project.
All rights, including but not limited to source code and EA UML files will become the sole property of the corporation. At the end of the project, the consulting team will be required to sign a document stating they have deleted the source code and all other project related documents from all media including backups
**Deliverables:**
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
