We are building a web solution for stock market data watch. The site will present real time stock market data in addition to charts and graphs for historic data. The display performance has utmost importance as every millisecond, every byte counts. So we need a very high performance web application, using the full power of HTML5, Kendo UI components, Telerik components. We have the full license for Kendo UI and Telerik components.
What we are expecting is a asp.net web solution that utilizes the technologies mentioned above and below, receive data from a data source and present it, in the most optimum/efficient way possible. The site should be flexible and customizable, such as changing the order of the columns, adding/removing columns to the grids, change the position of frames for a personalized layout. It should support multi languages (second language is RTL) and automatically adapt to the screen size (from mobile devices to high resolution monitors).
Required platform: Microsoft Windows 2008 OS, IIS, .Net Framework 4.0 or higher, C# and ASP.Net
After the project is over, our team will take over the source code and continue development and support.
We are posting a screen shot to give you the general idea for the project. We will provide more details about the project after we interview and find couple of freelances that have the skill set for our project.
We are hoping to outsource other projects in the future if we get a good outcome from this project.
We are planning to use Kendo UI Grid. Please answer the following in PM to show your competency in the subject:
Since there may be around 100 symbols and refresh time is very important, is it possible to update only one or some of the rows in the grid, instead of all of it? If so, how can we get an handle on a row using the symbol name?
Is it possible to format rows and cells based on the values of that row or cell? If you can demonstrate these on a sample web site, it would be the best. Thanks,
