c) There are roughly 5 billion pets in the world. In households in the United States, 38% own a dog and 25% own a cat, as well as many other animals such as hamsters, lizards, and fish. The most effective way of training any animal from a fish to a mouse to a whale is operant conditioning. Clickers are commonly used and effective in positively training pets. Often these small objects are misplaced. In addition, rewarding a pet for every correct behavior is not a reliable means of solidly learning skills. They tend to lose the skills quickly once the rewards stop using this method.

d)

e) I would like to create an iOS app that takes the place of clickers. In addition, it would tell the trainer when to reward the dog intermittently for good behavior, improving the speed and durability of their learning.

f) The cheaper version of this app would consist of a button that makes one of five different sounds to be determined by the user when pushed. The user would press the button every time a correct behavior is given, producing an audible “click”. .

g) The premium version would have a Clicker button that changes from red to green when the pet has earned a reward, according to six different reinforcement schedules.

This would be a must-have app for anyone training a pet and would never get lost as it would be a part of their personal phone.
