Convert java driver to javascript driver

I would like help with converting these USB-2-serial drivers from java so that I can use them with my webUSB API enabled web app. I'm having a hard time understanding how the bits and rates are set using the API, I got it working except I get garbage data (see the StackOverflow link) because of not setting the correct baud rates and stop bits etc.
