change text/picture locations on SimpleMachines forum homepage

I am an instructor working with a few classes to help individuals walk more. I have a website based upon Simple Machines / SimplePortal. The person who developed it is quite busy, so I'm looking for help to change the code around on the site.

I want to change the header section of the webpage. I want it to look blank, with a few things moved around.
