Convert C Socket Program from Windows to Linux

I need to have some C Code converted from Windows to Linux. The code uses Client/Server Network Sockets (TCP) and it does some rudementary file transfers for I/O Testing. Both programs combines are under 400 lines of code.

Also, I need to have two functions added to it:

1) I need the Client to display the Bits Per a Second a file is transfered to or retrieved from the Server. After the file transfer is completed the Average.

2) I need the program to include a parameter -UDP to receive or transfer a file over the UDP protocol. Currently, all communication is done over TCP. Although, I still need to keep that functionality there.
