Our company is looking to hire someone to collect business data from Google. We have an online business directory and need to get accurate data to put on our website. We will give you instructions exactly how to collect the data. It will only be for a number of larger cities in the U.S. market. Attention to detail is the most important aspect of this job.
Typically this job will be collecting 500 - 1000 records per city. More details will be given when narrowing down candidates.
Here’s exactly what we are looking for. We have a website similar to Yelp which allows user to post reviews of businesses. We have collected the data for a couple of states manually but need to hire some outside experts that can gather the data for us quickly and upload the data to our website. Specifically what we need is:
Business Name
Address
City, State, Zip Code
Phone
Website
Description
Optional information would be Facebook page and email address.
We only need the business information for retail, service, banking, insurance and a couple other select areas. Again similar to Yelp we do not need manufacturing or agricultural information. We also only need the top 10 businesses for each category and only for cities with 50,000 or more residents. We will provide a list of each city needed. We will send over a word document with how we have manually collected this data in the past. However there could/should be a really good web scraper who can do this job in half the time.
