Spectrometer chip animation in Solidworks

We have designed a spectrometer chip and have it modelled in Solidworks. We need to create an animation where light enters the chips and basically the rainbow gets split up as light travels through the system (e.g. with red light going in one direction and the rest of the rainbow going somewhere else and then the orange branching off etc). We are not Solidworks experts but think that this can be done with the Solidworks animator. Contact me for more information.
