#increaseprize You must understand that 20USD for an illustration of a new character in the style you want is very low. Lot of work...

Hi Jimmy. The prizes for our contests are set. You are welcome to submit an entry.

There's a lot of contests and projects on Freelancer.com, Artstation and other platforms- not all contests award cash. Some competitions (e.g. on Artstation) offer non-monetary, achievement awards.

Artists enter contests for a variety of reasons, including exposure, portfolio building, artistic growth, personal enjoyment, etc. The decision to participate (and why) varies from artist to artist.

Here on Freelancer, sometimes contests can lead to follow-up projects- i.e. contests may give clients opportunities to evaluate artists for various projects underway. Once a client has decided on a talent they want to commission for a project, that's when discussions negotiating compensation are typically more fruitful.

Again, you are more than welcome to participate in all of our contests. It's completely up to you.

In any case, thanks again for your interest.
