Contest Brief

We are looking to redesign the existing website at http://mymachinemag.com. To enter this contest, submit a mockup for a new home page only. If you are chosen as the winner, you will then work with us to complete the other pages.

This is a social media platform for car, nautical, air, motorcycle enthusiasts, offering novel interactivity and content presentation.

It allows people to register, invite friends (crew), accept friends, post articles (with or without media) about their machines, share articles, like
articles and more features that resemble a social media website like Facebook, twitter, etc., but for people with this shared interest.

We are unhappy with the existing skin. It is graphics heavy and difficult to follow. We want the new design to be simple, have a lot of white space and be easy to understand for basic users. It needs to look modern.

Your design must have placeholders for advertisements (commercially acceptable-sizes, text, image and video). The advertising spaces should blend well and not overwhelm the viewer. Each page must have room for at least three ads.

Please visit and register on the current website to understand it. If you are chosen as the winner, we will provide you with some additional images and graphics. You will provide us with sliced up images, html, css and js code for home page and each unique page on the site.

We are expecting you to come up with a responsive design preferably utilizing a major css framework (such as bootstrap) that will have vector based images that will resize proportionally for different screen sizes.

We need you to design the site to work on all commercially viable browsers (IE, firefox, chrome, safari, etc.) and the layout needs to render properly on
all different screen resolutions from regular PC's to tablets and mobile devices. Advertisements must stay in tact on different screens/browsers.
