Contest Brief

We are looking for a functional but appealing facade to our new house. Apart from the cash prize we will favor the winner with additional work such as finalizing and detailing our plans (subject to your capability).

The design challenge is that we have a narrow block facing west towards the afternoon sun but also need to capture water views to the south west.

We have a preference for a contemporary design and would like to use a mix of stone, timber and perhaps steel. We are also close to the sea so maintenance of any timber and steel is an issue.

Please see attached our proposed floor plan which could be slightly modified if required. Building height cannot exceed 8.5 metres.
