Contest Brief

Hello!

We need a logo for a product, which is specific for financial market traders.

The logo needs to contain a graphical symbol and a text. The symbol should reflect a concept of financial markets. For text you can use word “Trader” for now (we can replace it later with more specific word/phrase on the logo).

The first most obvious concept of financial market is usually represented as fighting bull and bear. Still, I looked through a lot of images of bulls and bears on various image banks (both paid and free) and never found any image that I like. So if you will think about visualising the concept based on bull and bear fighting scene, I would really appreciate if you could actually draw your concept by hand first and after that convert it into digital form. In that case, you will probably need to have a decent drawing skill. This hand drawing of bull and bear is not a requirement per se, but I feel that in this case there will be more chance to succeed with the logo.

Another representation that I was thinking about might be related to price chart elements, like “japanese candles”, which could, for example, be used as part of the logo symbol. Nothing special about that, just trying to give one more seed idea.

Also, some symbols related to currencies, stocks or money in general can also be considered. Feel free to experiment. Maybe you will discover even better symbolic representation of financial market concept than the ones described above, which is, of course, appreciated a lot.

For textual part the most important aspect to me is the font. I am really looking forward to see your proposals, regarding which font would fit best in the context of financial markets.

We have no requirements regarding colouring of the logo as well.

    Hello everyone! Thank you for great submissions! It feels like circular symbols look very good. Just wanted to add some keywords to give more seed for all creative minds. Beside direct financial market trading related elements, the logo could express (or the watcher could feel while looking at the logo) any of the following emotions: professionalism, business, risk, confidence; responsibility and wealth. We can also try symbolic part even with really really abstract icons, not directly related to financial market as log as they amplify watcher 's emotions described above.

      Hello! No.it's not. It is just some word to look at and understand, how the font looks.

      You can use e.g. "some text" instead of "trader" as well. Later on, I will replace it with the proper text that should be on the logo.
