Contest Brief

I'm looking to have some fun and modern business cards designed for my business. I want double sided business cards that use businesses' exact colours. Please use the exact shades of purple, grey, and black that I have uploaded. I LOVE the curly brackets business card 3.5x2 from Jukeboxprint.com (their die cut line). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the curly brackets business card file that I'm uploading. Something exactly like this, but with my specifications (detailed below) would be great!

I need to have business cards printed quickly, so I WILL CLOSE THE CONTEST EARLY. The contest will only be open for a maximum of 24-48 hours. As soon as I see a design that I really like I will award that designer as the winner.

LAYOUT - FRONT OF CARD:
I would like the front of the business card to be the same purple that I uploaded. My logo may need to be slightly adjusted to work on purple. I would like the following Steve Jobs quote to appear on white in a modern and bold white text (possibly a handwriting font) on the purple background. I love the format of the quote on the quotecard business card, though I'd prefer the font to be handwriting or something more modern (check out quote cards 2).

QUOTE:
"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things."
-- Steve Jobs

LAYOUT - BACK OF CARD:
The background colour should be white. The design will need to include: my logo, my name, my title / position, phone number, e-mail, website, and facebook page. Please use dummy information in your design (I'll provide my logo and details to the winning entry). Please use icons for phone, email, website, address, etc. instead of actually spelling the names out. I'll upload a business card that does this as a point of reference. Though, it's not entirely necessary that icons be used. In this day and age most folks can figure out what a phone number, email address, etc. looks like. If it looks more visually appealing without the icon, or even with E: and then my email, go for it.

TAGLINE:
Somewhere on the business cards I would like the tagline " Learn. Connect. Create."
The Steve Jobs quote was the inspiration for the tagline, so maybe put it on the side of the business card with the quote. Or it can be on the info side. Whatever works best.

DELIVERABLES:
I will need the business card files in the following file formats: pdf, .ai (it is imperative that I receive the files in vector format). Please do not put your hand up if you cannot deliver the final file in vector format.

Above all, I'm looking for creative, artsy, edgy, and modern. Thanks and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

P.S. I uploaded an iphone looking business card. I DO NOT want this, but it's an example of something really creative, just to help get things out of the box. I've uploaded a few more sample business cards that I like that can be used as inspiration.

Thanks for submitting designs. The wave background is very common though. Also, you didn't use my business' colours, which are uploaded.

I'm a jeweller, but I don't want my business cards to have diamonds or anything like that. I'm looking for an interesting and eye catching layout.

The card that I like the best is the curly bracket business card. You should be able to see the uploaded files with the project brief.

Thanks so much for asking. I'll check with my printer to see if they can work with psd files. In the past, they've come out slightly blurry, but perhaps they've upgraded their equipment since then.

I've decided to switch printers to jukebox.com. They accept illustrator files and pdfs. I'm interested in the curly brackets 3.5 x 2 from their die cut line. They have downloadable templates on their website http://www.jukeboxprint.com/die_cut_business_cards.php
