Contest Brief

Presently we are looking to have a logo designed for our martial arts academy, this academy will be operating both online and offline at our new to be established dojo.
We desire the logo to be a balance of modern and traditional, our art is based on a mixture of Bujinkan (traditional ninjutsu) and MMA.
The design needs to be highly marketable and safe for printing as it will be used on our website, course pages, store front and clothing. The idea is to use this as a highly brand-able logo.

The domain name (recently purchased) is Ninjutsu.art, we intend on using the name Ninjutsu Art (or The Ninjutsu Art)
Along with our more modern style of Ninjutsu we also teach MMA, Muay Thai and Bujinkan (however the MMA and Muay Thai are under a different brand, consider the Ninjutsu forms as a brand-able product of ours)

Desirable colours are;
Reds, black/grays, golds and Silver's.

Ideally the logo will either be a painted text logo with some decales, or consist of a combination of graphics in conjunction with the text. We aren't really looking for cartoony-characture logos.

Start of day 4 and we've got a much clearer idea of what logo we want based on the amazing entries provided by you.

We want the font for Ninjutsu Art to be similar to the "Ninja" in the Kawasaki Ninja logo.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks so much for your efforts so far, they've been amazing and there's so many different, unique and amazing entries.

We're all excited but to speed up the process and to make things easier, can we please limit each entry to a single design and forego the multiple entries for each mock-up?

I think the message we want to convey through our logo is our philosophy of Balance. The idea of a balance between modern and traditional is something we consider of the utmost importance.

Keep up the awesome work and keep the entries coming! By the end of this process one of you will have made the best logo we could have dreamed of and we can't wait to see that!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for all the entries so far, great work there's been some cool and interesting concepts.
I'd like to re-iterate the thought of a the word "Ninjutsu" taking a painted appearance, (Thought: https://thumbs.worthpoint.com/zoom/images2/1/0713/15/japanese-samurai-kanji-hanging-scroll_1_1440ec7f4bb6c815500e13dfd6372eb0.jpg)
The art form is a balance of both traditional Ninjutsu (Bujinkan) and modern martial arts (MMA), I think it would send the best message if the logo conveyed this balance that we aim to strive for in teaching our art.

Once again, thanks so much for the entries, I really look forward to seeing more and your individual creative takes on the above information. :D
