Contest Brief

We are looking to get a logo designed for all of our correspondences (email, website, business cards, etc). We deliver firewood to residential customers for heat. Our operations are based in the state of Maine.

We are looking for a professional, easy-to-read logo. I was thinking of browns and greens for colors, but am open to any color choice.

We had a few different ideas to get you started
1) A clip-art style piece of split firewood with the words "First Choice" on one line and "Firewood" below that, located inside the piece of wood
2) A circular logo with the words "First Choice" making the top portion and "Firewood" making the bottom. Perhaps an outline of the state of Maine's border in the middle?
3) A smiling woodstove being fed a piece of firewood

These ideas are purely to help you with the creative process. Use them as much or as little as you need to. I am hoping to see some creative and original logos come from this contest. The two biggest things we are looking for are professionalism and clarity. I am also looking for this work to be in a vector art format as it will be getting printed to a relatively large size ( 1m or so ).
