Contest Brief

Hello ARTISTS! My band Split Nixon is looking for a new logo. The band has reunited after several years and I am the new guitarist. We want a fresh new image. You can listen to songs on www.reverbnation.com/splitnixon or visit us on facebook. We want something completely different from anything you see there. We are a aggressive modern rock band with a major hat tip to the classic bands of the past. We are not and do not want anything that screams heavy metal. We do however want something bold and that makes a statement. We are leaning towards a word mark logo, with original lettering, but any kind of logo is okay as long as it hits the mark. Also, something with the “x” may be a good idea but is not necessary. The band name “Split Nixon” does not mean anything so do not send any pics of President Nixon with an x splitting his forehead. Our logo is the first part of our image that people will see so it has to hit them hard, evoke positive emotions, and be memorable. I love the long lettering styles of The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. However, we are open to anything and everything. Blow us away, we want our music and band to do the same. Thank you for reading and good luck. Artists forever!
We have extended the contest for another five days. Everyone is submitting good ideas. We would like to see some ideas with SN or and SN with and X in it. The abreviation of Split Nixon should go together with the name stylistically. So submit both together. Thanks
