Contest Brief

<Overview>
Please collect product information on vehicles that have or will have the technologies described in the “Technology Description” section below.

<Technology Description>
This technology is related to wirelessly updating the software installed in a vehicle.
When updating software related to automatic driving functions or driving support functions, the software will be updated after obtaining permission from the car owner to update the software. However, the problem is that if the owner of the car is unaware that the software needs to be updated, or if the owner neglects to enter permission to update the software, the software cannot be updated due to lack of the owner's permission. In this case, car owners continue using older versions of software related to autonomous driving and driver assistance functions.
To solve this problem, this technology restricts some of the automatic driving functions and driver assistance functions of which the software needs to be updated but permission for software updates cannot be obtained from the car owner. Please search for this technology in this contest.
