Contest Brief

I would like to create a logo for a new martial arts team I am making. The art is brazilian jiu jitsu but my school focuses on the three aspects; Self defense, mixed martial arts, and sports bjj competition.

My new gym is the combination of two teams coming together so ideally I would like something that looks similar to the logos below.

The new team name is "Ground Shield." I prefer blue colors, but I'm up for any color. The team is called ground shield because brazilian jiu jitsu allows you to protect yourself on the ground. I want to use this logo to create large banners, flyers and business cards. -edit- Please do variations of the logo to ensure it will work on different mediums
