Contest Brief

Argumentum is a card game about argumentation. It contains 2 decks of cards for fallacies and argumentation scenarios plus additional cards for the rules and a memo for the fallacies taxonomy.

Each deck of cards has initially been designed with images and layouts. We require an experienced designer to update the Layout of the cards (we want to keep the images and color scheme).

You can find the existing cards in the following documents:

* English Version for the cards faces:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FHfnus-HiS-I3QVbDlUEMBCx0dJRXBWC/view
* French Version that includes the cards' backs:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iG1wPpaNBAfW7S1e-j0VdIO36mA36v37/view
* Pictures for the fallacy cards:

The attached file provides more details about the cards and the Html generator used to build them (argumentum contest.pdf).

EDIT 20/05/28:
* Since some of the proposals include various textures for background, I added some dedicated texture backgrounds for each of the fallacy categories that were validated on a previous round of design in the attached files. If you can account for them, that would be a plus .
* Also, the amount of text in titles and content varies between cards. It would be nice if you can demonstrate your layout on edge cases (e.g. Fallacy 2.3.1.1)

The Successful candidate should provide an amendment to the above designs and layout for each of the corresponding sections.

The ideal candidate will submit:
Graphic Design collateral
Any useful resource for Html integration (Color schema, fonts etc;)

Additional details for interested contestants:

The winner of this contest might be awarded a high value project that involves the integration of your layout to the HTML templates provided on Cardpen as detailed in the attached document.

I'm assuming all your existing cards should be redesign with some more elegant and professional way, but using the same colours and images that you have already used on cars. Further you also want to provide the HTML/CSS of all the new designed cards, right?

The Html integration using the online tool provided will be the next step and done as a new distinct Freelancer project. If you can do the Html integration, it's definitely a plus and I encourage you to look at the tool and the current integrated models (links are provided in the attached pdf).

We've put some work into the Fallacies html template so that format/ratio can be easily changed at a minimum cost, typically for online square cards versions, so this could serve as an example. The other templates were done more quickly as a preliminary example.

If you want to keep the same images, then could you please provide all images source files so that I could use them to redesign the cards.

You said you want to keep the images. Are you referencing the images in the pdf? The request is quite unclear.

Hi, I'm referring to the numerous illustrations used in the Fallacy cards.

Hi, the cards size is for now determined in the Html generator by the corresponding feature (see the attached file for detailes and online access). Scenarii format is Poker, and the rest of the cards should be Tarot. However, since the generation is Html thus vector based, we'd like to be able to change the format for other uses, for instance square Fallacy cards for online material. The current html design allows that for that specific deck.
