Contest Brief

What's needed: 1 example of the front of the card design
1 example of each category for the back of the card design

We're on the hunt for talented designers to bring our new card game, "Consultant Wars," to life! This strategic and engaging game delves into the competitive world of consulting, mixing humor, challenge, and direct competition across various card types - Project, Action, Challenge, and Special.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create captivating designs for both the front and back sides of our game cards. The front side should prominently feature the "Consultant Wars" logo and have a universal design across all cards. The back side needs differentiated designs reflecting the four card types, each with its own unique flavor while maintaining a cohesive look for the deck.

Front Side Requirements:

Incorporate the "Consultant Wars" logo prominently.
Design should be professional, sleek, and align with a consulting theme.
Utilize a modern color palette with shades of blue, orange, and gray.
Include subtle, consulting-related imagery or icons that hint at the game's themes.

Back Side Requirements:

Each design should include a color-coded system and icons relevant to the card type.
Designs should be clear, inviting, and ensure the text is easily readable.
Maintain a balance between visual appeal and space for card text and illustrations.

Top: Card Type (e.g., "Project", "Action", "Challenge", “Special”) with a distinct color code and icon for quick identification.
Middle: A vivid, thematic illustration related to the card's content. For instance, a "Quick Win" Project Card might show a consultant triumphantly holding a briefcase up, while a "Scope Creep" Challenge Card could depict an ever-expanding project chart.
Bottom: The card's name (e.g., "Overnight Effort", "Market Shift") in bold, legible font. Below the name, a concise effect description. For Project Cards, also include the condition if any (e.g., "Requires: 'Tech Upgrade' Action Card").

Theme Consistency
Color Scheme: Adopt a professional yet engaging color palette that resonates with the consulting theme—think sleek blues, dynamic oranges, and confident grays. Each card type (Project, Action, Challenge, and Special) should have its distinct color code but maintain harmony with the overall palette.
Iconography: Develop a set of icons that are immediately recognizable and specific to each card type. Icons should be simple, clear, and reflective of the card's purpose (e.g., a briefcase for Project Cards, a lightning bolt for Action Cards).

Illustration Style
Artwork Approach: Opt for a stylized yet approachable illustration style that balances professional appeal with playful elements. Illustrations should be engaging, hinting at the card's function or theme without being overly detailed or complex.
Consistency: Ensure all illustrations follow a consistent art direction in terms of style, line weight, and coloring technique. This uniformity contributes to the game's visual identity and enhances the player's experience.

Typography
Font Selection: Choose a legible, modern font that complements the game's aesthetic. Consider using two font types at most—one for headings (card names) and another for body text (card descriptions)—to keep the design clean and accessible.
Hierarchy and Size: Establish a clear hierarchy with typography, using size and weight to distinguish between the card name, type, and any instructions or descriptions. The card name should be the most prominent text element.

Layout and Composition
Central Focus: Place the thematic illustration prominently in the middle of the card's back side, ensuring it's the focal point. The illustration should occupy a significant portion of the space, surrounded by a margin for visual breathing room.

Overlay Elements: If including text or icons over the illustration, use overlays or banners that integrate seamlessly with the design. Ensure these elements are placed consistently across cards to aid in recognition and readability.

Texture and Depth
Background Details: Consider adding subtle textures or patterns to the card background that align with the consulting theme (e.g., grid patterns, abstract geometric shapes). These should be faint enough not to distract from the central illustration.

Depth and Dimension: Use shading, gradients, or shadows judiciously to add depth to the illustrations and the overall card design. This can make the cards more visually appealing and dynamic without overwhelming the artwork.

Cohesive Series Identity: Ensure that every card, regardless of its type, clearly belongs to the "Consultant Wars" series. This can be achieved through consistent use of design elements, color, and thematic ties across all cards.

Deliverables:

1 example of the front of the card design
1 example of each category for the back of the card design
High-resolution images for both the front and back designs.

The most rated entries are AI generated that's mean it will not be commercially available or editable also you will not get any high quality printable option, if you want to distinguish between AI and humanely created just look at the text, if it's unreadable then it's AI.
It's not good for professional project like this.
