Role: Design and Implementation Description: This project is to design and develop an Auto Bet Terminal for betting at Madras Race Course. It will run on touch screen machines, which will be provided, to punters to bet conveniently and quickly. This application is composed of three parts. First part, which runs at client place, handles communication of betting terminal with the server terminal (terminal protocol handler), smart card processing and betting. Second, part, which is integrated with the terminal protocol handler server (UNIX) as a module, places transaction details in shared memory. Third part, it is developed in Pro C as a separate process stores and retrieves transaction details to and from Oracle database. . Project 5 Title: Electricity Billing System Duration: 6 months (June 1998 – Dec 1998) Platform: Win95 Team Size: 3 Language/Tools: VC++, MS Access Client: Govt project Role: GUI Programmer Description: This project envisages billing of Electricity Consumption pertaining to different categories of HT consumers and LT consumers. There are 5 sub categories in HT supply and 8 sub categories in LT supply. The terms and rates of tariffs are of various rates and slabs which are necessary to be computerized in order to save the human errors which may erupt due to various multiple rates and conditions involved there on. Hence the project yields better results and saving of man hours.
