Right now I run my own one man business drawing infographics, charts, maps and diagrams to order using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CC. I also use Microsoft Office when the need arises. I have had amongst my clients Golin for whom I have produced work for Texas Instruments, WorldPay and Flora (margarine). I have also worked for BAE Systems, Hallmark and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. On top that many jobs through online agencies such as upWork and here on Freelancer. Why not join them?

The Daily Mail Newspaper

Aug 2002 - Aug 2013 (11 years)

I was required to draw information graphics to accompany news stories of the day. Most projects started and finished on the same day others were over a couple of days. I found the work exciting, as I never knew what I am doing from one day to the next. The Daily Mail is known as the toughest newspaper to work for on Fleet Street and maybe the world. I have learned to be fast and accurate in my work. I am used to having my graphics appear online on a regular basis.

Business AM newspaper Scotland

Though the paper seemed doomed to fail from the start Business AM was a great paper. Based in Edinburgh it had very high design values, winning best designed paper in its first year of operation, sadly the readership numbers were disappointing and it was not too long before the paper was wound up. This was where I learned a lot about the industry and while there I was given the opportunity to expand my knowledge into new areas and learn new skills.
