Helen obtained extensive architectural experience, both in Brazil and Spain before starting work in the UK, progressing to Gulf Region.
During the period of her professional experience, Helen has worked in a large variety of projects: private houses, housing schemes, healthcare: health centres and nursing homes, educational: rehabilitation centres and churches, Listed building, Buildings within the Conservation area and Energy Centre (Heathrow Airport Terminal 5). Complex Middle Eastern developments (residential, commercial, including large Shopping malls and extensive coordination with other specialities (MEP, Structures, Roads and Urban Planners) in the auxiliary works (Multi storey parking lots, Basement and semi excavated areas).
Plenty of experience in coordination and leadership of teams in house and/or located in different time zones), worked extensively with other subcontractors, liased with Clients and developers of diverse cultures and project sizes.
Studies
Helen Sakano is a fully qualified Brazilian Architect and Town Planner, gaining her degree at Mackenzie University in São Paulo, Brazil.
She recently graduated in a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture (RIBA) Part 2 at London Metropolitan University and Part 3 at AA Architectural Association in London
