After winning my first compensated writing competition in elementary school, I was published in teen magazines during middle and highschool. In addition to being on the board of a literary magazine in high school, I twice achieved perfect ACT ELA and essay scores. This score shows a proficient knowledge of the English language's grammatical nuances. In less than a month, I finished a 50,000 word manuscript. I went on to teach a literary class to middle schoolers. The class had an emphasis on creative writing, which resulted in students finishing novels in two semesters with upwards of 75,000 words.
