Growing up in a family of electrical engineers, I see computer science as an efficient tool to enhance the convenience and quality of people's lives. In the future, I desire to develop new algorithms and models to improve people’s communication experiences. By studying computer science, I'll strive to enhance the language processing network by making it more vivid and appealing.
My application of sessions, cookies, authentication, and data management helped me obtain the Certification of Achievement in USAP Laoshan 2018 and recognition as the Microsoft Technology Associate in HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals. As the software engineer who developed a take-out food delivery service app that includes functions like account login, ordering, commenting, and paying, which serves more than 1,000 people in our school of Linruixunfei Technology Ltd. and Chengdu Lvbeichuxing Xinnengyuan Ltd., I helped develop their official websites with back-end-server frameworks. I responded to the companies' need to manage employees' work hours by creating a working record in the database and calculating overdue money and time. Moreover, as the Beijing High School Humanity Club Alliance developer, I developed club and user management services. By replacing leaflets with online notifications, I helped enhance advertising efficiency and attract more members. Due to my involvement in these projects and activities, my communication, cooperation, and leadership skills have been greatly improved.
On campus, I have also contributed my programming expertise by developing a school carnival activity booking app that includes registration, mapping, and activities management services. Nearly 80% of students and teachers used the system and app, and my work has provided a new channel for promoting the school carnival while enhancing its popularity. This experience helped hone my planning and problem-solving skills. As the president of our school's Computer Club, I teach peers programming skills and lead members in developing a file management system. It uses cloud storage for students and faculty to upload their files with no size or speed limit, which helps improve learning and working efficiency.
My experience developing file management systems, including the ability to search files using my models, led to a more narrowed focus on machine learning and shaped my future ambitions. With a passion for artificial intelligence, I participated in the Tencent Program for Young Scholars in Math and Science. After learning how to use developed tools to test apps from reading published research articles, I drew graphs for each activity in an app and calculated the probabilities of the test tool we were given. I was invited to attend another research opportunity about the Brain-Computer interface. Wanting to accumulate more hands-on practice, I interned at Microsoft this past summer.
