Phase Change Materials são utilizados para armazenamento de calor latente e a encapsulação permite conter a variação volumétrica que ocorre durante a transição de fases. Com o recobrimento destes materiais em leito fluidizado, previamente moldados, é possível aliar as vantagens da técnica com a aprimorada eficiência de encapsulação. Quando se obtém perfis termofluidodinâmicos é possível reduzir os testes experimentais e evitar a fusão do PCM.
Energy, economic and ghg emissions analysis in HVAC systems operation

This paper aims at presenting an analysis of the comparison of different HVAC systems, for a tourism accommodation facility, through the results from a whole-year energy simulation, performed by the Hourly Analysis Program (HAP). Final and primary energy consumption, energy costs and GHG emissions during system operation, are compared, giving the decision maker reliable information to support the choice in the system selection.
