Library and Nagios plugin to manage 48v energy station

Detailed protocol specification (serial over tcp/ip) and test energy station to check and debug the code was provided by the client. There were two goals: 1) to develop utility to manage the device (get status, startup, shutdown, get battery capacity etc etc) and 2) to develop Nagios (monitoring system) plugin using utility from step 1. Management utility and required Nagios plugin were implemented using Perl language and after some testing and bugfixes the project was successfully completed.

About Me

Working with Linux and other unixes since 1993. Over the last years was mostly involved in complex projects requiring some development (shell scripts, Perl, C, PHP). Have experience with high load systems and performance analysis, installation and support of private clouds (Apache CloudStack platform). A bit of kernel development.
