I am a Social Media Marketing Freelancer, I have just graduated from University completing my Marketing and business management degree. In the first year of my studies, I started a Twitter account called JHB Students. This account kept the students entertained and informed the students in Johannesburg of the latest student deals, student jobs and events in Johannesburg. A year later i realised that I could actually turn this into a business and I registered the business as a marketing company. I then created JHB Students accounts on other Social media websites, which i used to interact with my followers and "likers". I also used these networks to advertise my customers offerings. I also opened up a website and I became a blogger, where I wrote articles and advertised my customers events, deals, products and services. Through this experience I was able to write a dissertation/thesis on "How to build an online community via social media" in the last year of my degree.
