In various positions I've had, my ability as a leader has been tested. I have had to find interesting solutions to problems in order to solve the problem not just that one time, but permanently, or at least easier to deal with the next time it shows up. I have had to deal with customer relation issues that could have pushed the customer away, but steps taken by me made the customer closer. I have had to figure out how to apply old knowledge in new ways, and use new tricks in old situations. It is test that I believe that I passed with flying colors.
I am also a capable individual, who can work with little to no supervision. I am self-directed, and have no problem asking for a clarification of instructions given me. The completion of one high-quality task is more important than two completed hastily and poorly. This is not to say I work slowly (I am used to working with deadline pressures), only that a little extra time well spent will eliminate the need to continually redo the project, thus saving time overall.
With my family's background in sports, you learn that a team is a powerful entity. By combining individuals that excel in their own fields into a single team, you have a creature that can run faster, throw harder, and catch better than any single player; strengths are strengthened, weaknesses weakened. You also learn when to assert yourself and when to work in the background, some times leading and other times following. This allows the team the best combination of skills and experience for the problem at hand, making teamwork a powerful tool for success.
I am also very adaptable; I tend to learn skills quickly and find new ways to apply old skills. I am a very capable multi-tasker, and am able to juggle a number of jobs at once. I also like deadlines; by allowing for them, I can better organize for a project's swift completion.
I have designed a wide range of graphics materials, ranging from brochures to web design as well as creating and modifying original art. Also, I have had to create copy, write newspaper stories, and web content, as well as scripts and newsletters. I have created newsletters and laid out newspapers. Besides my own site, I have created and maintained a number of websites, with a concentration towards the content side, as well as ensuring that the site was easy to maintain. Dealing with exacting specifications can be fun.
I also have a sizable amount of administrative experience. I have been responsible for setting up databases, reconciling company bank accounts, keeping up on accounts received and payable as well as multi-line phones and customer service. In short, not only can make a great ad for your company, I can also help it run smoothly.
By combining teamwork, individuality, and adaptability, I can be a formidable asset for your company. I hope that you will consider me for the position.
