Why am I Receiving Project Offers from Employers?

At Freelancer.com, freelancers can bid on projects they want to work on, but employers can also search for freelancers and offer them their project directly. Employers have the option to go to the freelancer’s profile page and click the Hire Me button to instantly award a project to a freelancer without receiving bids from anyone else.

As the freelancer, you will have the choice to accept or reject the offer, just like any other project.

Before making your decision, you can send the employer a private message and discuss the project with them. You can ask them about the terms of completion, about deadlines, or about the skills required to finish the project. You can even request them to create a Milestone Payment to make sure that they have funds set aside for the project. You can also visit their profile page to check their profile and feedback.

Once you have all the information you need, you can decide to either accept or reject the project. Note that if you do not respond after 36 hours, the offer will expire automatically.

To accept the project, all you have to do is go to the project page and click Accept. There’s also a new feature where you can counteroffer if you want to propose a different project amount. The employer will receive your counteroffer and will decide whether to accept it or not. You can message them to discuss the payment terms that you want before sending the counteroffer in order to explain your offer clearly.
