Not a business - I'm an individual who used to have a blog, lost it when old hosting company went out of business. Recently restored it through Wayback Machine Downloader. Now want to clean it up, change theme, etc. Not a commercial site. Would like to work with someone so I can learn (Wordpress has changed since I last used it in 2013). Site is conqueringthedivide.com. Here is further information (added Dec 8, 2019). I will not consider bids unless it is clear that the bidder understands the following: Conquering the Divide (WordPress) project scope Please read the following carefully. I am not a web developer, and do not understand much about WordPress. Background 1. This is a NON-commercial, personal site – no advertising (and please take that into consideration). There will be no advertising. 2. I had a blog years ago (last post 2013). The previous hosting company – hostfolks – lost everything. I thought the blog was dead. 3. I recently found an intact version in HTML on the Wayback Machine (link: [login to view URL]://[login to view URL]) 4. I used Wayback Machine Downloader ([login to view URL]) to download the site and convert back to WordPress. 5. I have uploaded the converted site to SiteGround. I also have an xml backup stored locally that can be provided if requested. I can also provide the *.zip file obtained from the conversion company if requested. Project: 1. I have change the theme to Minimalsticky, but don’t know what to do next ([login to view URL]). 2. The writings on the site, with one exception, are pages rather than posts (I don’t know if that’s how I created them, or if that was a function of the conversion). I wish to change most of them to posts. 3. I wish to retain the original pages/posts dates and categories/tags (I don’t understand the difference between categories and tags) and have the ability to add new ones. 4. I want to make the site easy to update, add pictures, etc. Deliverable: A WordPress export file that I can import flawlessly into my own WordPress site on SiteGround.
