Add New Recipe Taxonomy & Edit Facet Search Filter

Our WordPress website has a recipe template, built-in to the template is a search filter taxonomy that displays categories and subcategories. The taxonomy (listed below) is part of the core structure of the template which users categorize their recipes when posting with.

We need to insert/add a new taxonomy for “Dish Type” and change the search filter execution/action from executing on-submit (search button), to executing on-click (dynamically).

1. Change the current execution/action function of the search filter to change on-click. The page results should change when the checkbox has been clicked (no search button).

2. The recipe taxonomy works much like WordPress blog categories work; however, it is integrated into the templates core recipe functionality. The template taxonomy offers categories, ingredients, cuisine, and tags. We need a new taxonomy named Dish Type.

Recipe Taxonomy:

• Categories (Already Exists)

• Dish Type (Add New Taxonomy)

• Ingredient (Already Exists)

• Cuisine (Already Exists)

• Tags (Already Exists)

3. After the on-click function has been completed, please remove the search button.
